Savory Sweetens Up Malibu

Chef Paul Shoemaker, who honed his craft at Water Grill, Providence and Bastide, helms the kitchen at Savory, a Malibu newcomer where the midpriced menu showcases ingredients sourced from the rich local soil – think Bloomsdale spinach and Brentwood corn; the simply designed sun-washed room features big windows facing the beaches of Point Dume and a blond-wood interior that seems to blend into the landscape.
